Have you ever had someone take a sip of your freshly brewed coffee just to spit it out while uttering “That tastes just like Jet Fuel!”? No? Okay, well my early experiences using an old school coffee pot and about two tons more ground coffee than necessary went something like that. Until now I had always considered it a coffee put-down but after tasting Coffee People Jet Fuel, maybe I had it all wrong. Clearly my coffee had its faults but if it ever tasted half as good as this catchy sounding blend I would have been pretty satisfied with myself.

Okay, right off the bat – the packaging had me curious. With a name like Jet Fuel you know it’s got to be dark and strong and even the funky packaging is a selling point for me. I love the retro looking jet and even the color combo on the k-cup package itself. With the phrase, “Attention ground control. This full-bodied XX bold coffee packs a punch,” you know you are in for something a bit out of the ordinary.

I don’t know exactly what I was anticipating the first time I tentatively tried this blend but I know where my mind went immediately after the first sip, “wow that is one good cup of coffee.” Sometimes I feel like a very detailed or more complex blend but when I want a simple, very dark and super bold flavor, Jet Fuel fits the bill perfectly.

The way I see it, this isn’t necessarily the type of coffee you would fire up in the Keurig for a group of people who you are entertaining. It’s more like the go-to blend in your secret stash of will-this-work-day-ever- end coffee.

If you are someone who enjoys a dark cup of coffee with a bit of cream or milk to lighten up the taste, Jet Fuel lends itself well to a creamer but as far as adding sweetener, I feel like it takes something away from the already naturally sweet taste. The overall flavor is a mix of chocolate and citrus flavor that is perfectly balanced and not too complex. And the caffeine…oh boy the caffeine! If you are not tolerant of buzz producing blends, this is probably not your cup of joe. Me on the other hand…total caffeine addict and without this awesome Coffee People blend, my head would probably be banging on the desk my 3:30 each and every afternoon.

Timothy’s has been a leading name in coffee for over 40 years and once you try the Nicaraguan blend you will understand exactly why that is. This smooth medium blend single serve coffee flavor is full bodied with a naturally wonderful taste. It’s sometimes hard to put into words why I love certain blends far more than others so here are some of the elements broken down that in my opinion makes Timothy’s coffee some of the best beans in the business.

Arabica Beans: So before I really started developing any sort of taste for coffee what-so-ever I honestly didn’t get what all the fuss surrounding Arabica beans was about. If you are still not convinced that Arabica beans are the best thing to ever be brewed into a cup it’s definitely worth trying it out for yourself Arabica beans are known for their high quality and rich flavor and for me they are never a disappointment.

Organic: The word “organic” has become somewhat of a buzz word these last few years but the way I look at it is this, if I am given the option of choosing something that has been grown with tons of chemicals that are not only unhealthy for my body but the planet as well or a coffee completely naturally grown, it’s a no-brainer. I’m never quite sure if it’s just because I feel better about my organic selection but I always think organic blends even taste better. In this I am not alone however, I have had many of my coffee loving friends sing the same praises of organic coffee blends.

Fair Trade: Along the same lines of enjoying a cup of coffee that is fair to the earth, fair trade coffee also assures that those who painstakingly tend to each coffee plant are also taken care of too. This social movement has fortunately caught hold in the coffee world as well as many other plant producing industries. Aside from making sure that the working conditions for farmers are up to par, fair trade practices also take care to make sure that these farmers are fully compensated while promoting the economy.

I know I say this about a lot of different coffee blends, but when can I say? Perhaps I’m just fickle or completely in love with coffee. Whoever said you have to pick just one? Next time you feel like trying a new k-cup choose the Nicaraguan blend and you will find another to add to your extra bold and super tasty coffee favorites.

Sugar, Spice and Everything Nice Without Breaking Your Diet

Nothing says Autumn like pumpkin pie spices. Cinnamon is the flavor for Fall. Nutmeg is the spice that tastes of Autumn days, and cloves bring to mind the warmth of an Autumn hearth. These spices embody the taste of the season’s traditional desserts, and those traditional desserts make up a lot of the weight gain that happens every Fall. Now you can enjoy the delicious flavors of Fall without nearly the calorie count of these desserts thanks to Green Mountain Seasonal K-Cups.
Green Mountain Fair Trade Organic Autumn Harvest K-Cups make a smoky and delicious cup of coffee. They are composed of a blend of light and dark roast organic coffee beans, giving it the sweetness of light roast coffee and the smoked, earthy taste of dark roast coffee, all blended into a delicious unity. To this diverse coffee flavor, Green Mountain Coffee Autumn Harvest has added cinnamon and nutmeg to give this smooth blended coffee the spicy flavor of Autumn. This coffee has full flavor and excellent quality thanks to the standards to which Green Mountain Coffee holds its organic coffee lines. In my opinion, this is a September-October coffee thanks to being a smooth transition from the light, bright flavors of Summer to the smooth and spicy flavors of Fall.
Now, as the days start getting colder and shorter, I want something with more punch. I want a steady, full flavor that has some kick to help me get moving in the morning and keep my eyes open in the now dark afternoon hours. That is going to be Green Mountain Coffee’s Pumpkin Spice coffee. It has a medium roast brew enhanced with cinnamon and pumpkin. Green Mountain Coffee Pumpkin Spice K-Cups are available for my K-Cup single cup coffee machine, so I can enjoy this luscious coffee whenever I want it, never having to commit to an entire pot of flavored coffee. This one is really good on ice with some half and half or vanilla flavored creamer. Talk about dessert!
These two tasty coffees are only available seasonally, and the K-Cups are a limited time offer. I would move quickly if you like these flavors because they are not going to last.

I love Caribou Coffee and truth be told, I really love the endearing story behind the company’s creation.

The story goes that in 1990 two newlyweds (John and Kim Puckett) were on a trip in Alaska’s Denali National Park when they had this vision for a coffee company that they would build together. Only two years later, the couple had saved enough money to open their first coffee shop in Minneapolis and while the company wavered, the couple had a happy ending when they were able to make a sizeable profit selling their controlling interest in the company.

Today there are over 400 stores and in 2005 it became a publically traded company with its headquarters in Brooklyn Center, Minnesota.

If I had to choose one favorite from Caribou, I would have to go with the signature Caribou blend. It was my first introduction to the company since, as a general rule, I like to start with the signature or what the company is best known for and in this case, I was not disappointed.

One of the first things I noticed on the packaging was a seal that said “Rainforest Alliance Certified.” If you are not familiar with this term, it’s a non-governmental organization whose goal is to protect biodiversity and ensure livelihood through fair and proper farming practices. This is one worthy cause and for a company to adhere to the strict ethical practices required for certification; I praise and admire the commitment.

The aroma produced during the brewing process was the next note worthy attribute that caught my attention. It’s rich and spicy fragrance carries over perfectly into its overall smoothness and finish. The Caribou Blend is a slightly darker medium roast coffee with a pleasantly earthy, woodsy type flavor to it. The natural spice mixed with hints of fresh berries, results in a pleasant and smooth after taste and rich body.

Caribou Blend gains even more points with me for the fact that its available in a single serve K-Cup. If you have not yet made the transition over to the Keurig craze yet I whole heartedly recommend it. I use mine every day and continue to be satisfied with the perfect cup of coffee that is brewed in half the time and with little, to no, effort on my part. Just set the K-Cup in the holder, close to top and select the size. It’s rare that things in life are as easy as they sound but making and enjoying a cup of Caribou Blend…well it’s as easy as that.

Over the past year or so I’ve really tried to cut down on the amount of money that I spend on coffee every month. There was a time when I used to go down to the local coffee shop located in my office building and order myself a large iced latte almost every single morning. When the economy started taking a turn for the worse, and everyone was talking about saving, I starting thinking about the sheer amount of money that I was spending on those iced lattes every morning.

Even if I only went 3 times a week (which is being conservative) that’s still 12 dollars every week that I was spending on coffee from the shop. If you chart that out over the course of a year, that’s $576 dollars! Now, I don’t know about you, but there are a lot of better things I could be spending that money on.

So, I’m sure at this point you’re wondering why this post is entitled “Millstone Coffee Pods” when I haven’t even mentioned Millstone or coffee pods up until this current juncture. However, rest assured there is a good reason, and it will help provide you with a great way to enjoy the coffee that you love and save tons of money at the same time.

Save money with Millstone Coffee Pods!

So, looking back on the math that we used before, let’s apply the same logic to the Millstone French Roast Coffee Pods. Priced at $5 for 16 coffee pods at CoffeeForLess.com, that’s 16 cups worth of coffee for a measly five bucks! Two orders would cover one cup of coffee in the morning for an entire month.

If you ordered two months worth all at once your total would be roughly 27 dollars. If you drank those iced lattes that I like every day for 2 months you would have spent 160 dollars!

No need to skimp on taste…

Even though the prices are cheap, the taste of the Millstone Coffee Pods is not. The Home Café Millstone Coffee pods come in delicious flavors like French Roast and Columbian Supremo. These are classic but delicious blends that you can enjoy again and again without tiring of the taste.

I’ve found this is a great way to save extra money, if I drank only the Millstone Coffee Pods and never spent money on coffee shop coffee I would save almost $414 dollars a year including paying for the Millstone Coffee Pods. For everyone out there looking to tighten their financial belts, this is a great way to save some extra money.

Social Bookmarking

Wolfgang Puck is one of the most well known names in the culinary world, producing some of the finest gourmet foods available out there today. Now you can enjoy the taste of delicious Wolfgang Puck coffee right in your own home. And, with the added ease of the K-Cup, the delicious blends that they make can be ready for you in a matter of minutes.

Wolfgang Puck K-Cups are available in a variety of different blends, all of which I’ve become very fond of. Try flavors like Breakfast in Bed, Vienna, Sumatra, Sorrento, Chefs Reserve Columbian, Rodeo Drive, Crème Caramel, Vanilla Francaise and many more.

My love for Wolfgang Puck coffee started when someone brought in a case of the K-Cups to the office for everyone to try. They didn’t really drink coffee, so they figured they might as well bring it in for everyone else to enjoy. Suffice to say, on Monday there was a case of 24 Wolfgang Puck K-Cups out on the counter, and by Wednesday every single one was gone. That’s a lot of coffee drinking for a small office like ours!

Wolfgang Puck Coffee K-Cups are actually quite affordable!

At first I figured buying the Wolfgang Puck coffee myself would be an increased expenditure in my coffee budget, but I was pleasantly surprised to find that buying them by the case at CoffeeForLess.com was more cost efficient than buying ground coffee at the grocery store. I can get a case of 24 Wolfgang Puck K-Cups for a mere $11.50 (not including shipping). This breaks down to less than fifty cents a cup!

Plus, with so many flavors to choose from, I figured I could try a number of different blends and save on shipping at the same time. As I’ve said before, the great aspect of the K-Cup from this standpoint is that I don’t have to worry about the coffee going stale before I have a chance to drink it (yet another benefit over buying ground coffee at the store). I can switch back and forth between different flavors depending on what I feel like for the day and can enjoy a fresh brew every single time.

What’s in a Name?

We often end up paying more for products with brand names that really don’t taste much better than their generic counterparts. I can definitely say this is NOT the case with Wolfgang Puck Coffee. The price is completely affordable and fair, and the coffee itself is definitely a step above the majority of the other brands out there. So don’t allow yourself to “judge a coffee by its cover” (if you will), and give Wolfgang Puck K-Cup Coffee a try.

Monin Syrup is one of those items that I’m sure you see everywhere you go, but don’t really pay attention to. It’s in the coffee houses behind the counter to make all of the flavored coffees, it’s used in bars to make flavored mixed drinks, it’s even at the beach to be poured on snow cones to give them their taste. Keep a look out and I think you’ll be surprised how often you see Monin syrup throughout the course of a week.

The Monin Syrup Company was established by Georges Monin back in 1912, in Bourges, France. The premium syrups are sold in over 100 countries, which makes Monin one of the most highly esteemed providers of premium flavored syrups. This is of course why you see it in so many of the places you go for food and drink.

Instead of viewing a flavored beverage (particularly flavored coffee) as a treat only obtainable in a store, why not stock up on flavors of Monin Syrup to make drinks in the home and in the office? It’s easy, inexpensive, and provides for a great treat that people don’t expect.

One of the great aspects of about Monin Syrups that I’ve always really appreciated is that they provide a delicious alternative to sugar. There is already such an abundance of sugar already in our diets these days, it’s great to know that you don’t have hold back on adding delicious flavors to your coffee drinks to cut down on your sugar intake. Those syrups that are sugar free are made from organic agave plants, making them ideal for those who need to follow a diabetic diet.

Monin has a wide variety of syrup flavors like: Peach, Swiss Chocolate, Blackberry, Almond, Sugar Free Hazelnut Syrup, Irish Cream, Raspberry, Amaretto, Frosted Mint, Strawberry, Regular Hazelnut, Caramel, Irish Cream, Raspberry, Amaretto and many more, a large number of which are sugar free.

While Monin syrup is for the most part used for coffee, you can also use it to create a myriad of other delicious concoctions. When I want to allow her a treat, I tend to make sugar free drinks for my young daughter using club soda and Monin syrup. I feel better about letting her drink these as opposed to regular soda drinks, and I don’t have to deal with the inevitable hour of sugar-induced insanity, followed by an patience-trying sugar crash. It’s basically an Italian soda you can make yourself. Monin syrup also goes great in iced tea, and even can be used effectively in cooking.

There’s a wide variety of different ways that Monin Coffee Syrups can be put to use, and I’m sure you can come up with countless more than I have provided here.

Tradition, Tradition, Tradition

The Lacas Coffee brand is one of oldest coffee importers in the United States that is still family run. Originally founded in 1921, Lacas Coffee has always continued to provide their customers with the best coffee possible, brewed from the finest Arabica beans. Lacas Coffee is able to adhere to the highest of standards, owing to the fact that every one of the coffee plantations are still owned by the family. That means that all of the steps of the coffee production process are regulated to guarantee the best possible coffee.

By now, the 3rd generation of the Lacas family is running the Lacas Coffee Company. Green, fresh crop coffee beans are brought to their roasting plant every day. These coffee beans are run through a strict inspection, after which the approved coffee beans are roasted, brewed and tasted by professional roastmasters, ensuring that the Lacas Coffee tradition of quality is continued as time goes on.

The Lacas Coffee quality process is conducted similar to the tasting of a fine wine. All that is needed is a spoonful of coffee to be checked by master tasters. These tasting experts ensure for perfection in aroma, acidity, body and of course, overall finish. Without all of these qualities being met, Lacas Coffee won’t sell the product to their customers.

This extensive history and creation of standards has established Lacas Coffee as one of the most respected coffee providers in the country. Thanks to CoffeeForLess.com you as well may enjoy the wonderful blends that nearly 80 years of expertise and talent has created.

The Beauty of the Coffee Pod

The coffee pod is one of the most ingenious inventions since the coffee filter. The ease and excellence of taste are what make the coffee pod so fantastic. Add to that the assurance of quality that Lacas Coffee Pods bring to the table and this is what makes this one of the best options on the coffee market.

All you need to do with Lacas Coffee Pods is put them in the machine, push a button and wait less than a minute for your delicious Lacas Coffee to be ready. Since the pods are always fresh and the temperature, water volume and drip rate are regulated by the machine you don’t need to worry about how your coffee is going to turn out.

Lacas Coffee Pods are a wonderful way to make your coffee in the morning. I know you’ll enjoy their blends as much as I do. CoffeeForLess.com has my favorite flavors like Kenya AA Estate, French Vanilla, Hazelnut Crème and many more. The Lacas Coffee Pod Hazelnut Crème is definitely one of my favorites, so if you have to pick one, I’d go with that, you’ll definitely be glad with your choice.

The Green Mountain company has long been known for its responsible business practices, which is one of the reasons that I’ve continued to buy from them over the years. Now Green Mountain has worked on putting together a line of great flavored summer coffees for you to enjoy.

Many of these coffees are available in K-Cups, which means you can have coffee for iced coffee at the quick touch of a button. While I don’t always go for some of the more sweet flavors of coffees that I’ve had, this one is actually not too sweet for me. The peach adds more of a subtle element that pairs with the coffee rather than overpowering the taste of the coffee itself.

As with all of the coffee that Green Mountain Coffee makes, they’ve spent lots of time and effort to make sure that the flavor they’ve created is subtle yet delicious. Green Mountain Coffee is based in Waterbury, Vermont, and for decades they’ve searched the globe for only the finest ingredients, and the dedication to that effort really shows in newer flavors like the Perfect Peach Coffee K-Cups.

Perfect Peach Coffee K-Cups Stay Fresh

One of the advantages of using the K-Cups for your iced coffee is that they stay fresh over a long period of time. Since each individual cup is sealed tight, it will last a lot longer than regular bags of ground coffee that just sit in the cupboard or out on the counter. I drink iced coffee all the time, so I usually go through coffee pretty fast.

However, since I like to change the flavors rather frequently, and I have such a large collection of different blends, it can be a month or so before I actually get back around to the same flavor. So, having the Perfect Peach Coffee K-Cups comes in handy since I know they’ll last for a long time.

Enjoy one of the best cold beverages you can get this summer and pick up a box of the Green Mountain Perfect Peach coffee. Green Mountain Coffee has also produced a variety of different flavors aside from the Perfect Peach, so make sure and give all of their delicious blends a try. You’ll definitely be surprised how much better they are than the giant commercial brands you find in the grocery store.
